on canvas, 1905-1907, Gustav Klimt was a Viennese
painter & founder of the Vienna Secession,
the Austrian Art Nouveau Movement. His early
work, of mainly large murals, was painted
in a naturalistic style. However, after 1898,
Klimt's work moved toward greater innovation
taking on a more decorative, symbolic aspect,
with translucent, mosaic colours such as his
famous Flower Garden featured here. Available
as a single or twin illuminated display, with
extensive galleries of additional paintings. |
